January 2010
I have sent some of my favorite images to be printed on canvas and mounted on a frame. Once that is complete and I have it in front of me I will paint it with a clear acrylic and put it up for auction. That is of course as long as I get an OK from all of the actors. I will keep you posted and have images soon.

December 9th 2009
Americorp, EyeBehold & Tinsel Korey are teaming up to bring a little extra warmth to the Elders and children in Rough Rock, AZ.

A big thank you to MARMOT (marmot.com) for donating the majority of jackets needed.

It gets pretty cold up in Rough Rock and when we heard Americorp was in need of some jackets to keep the elders and children warm. We got in touch with Chaske Spencer and United Global Shift. They called their friends at MARMOT who have generously donated a ton of jackets. But there always a need for more.

So if you want to help.

Please send a new or unused adult or youth(5-16yrs) jacket by December 19th to:

Rough Rock AmeriCorps Program
c/o Rough Rock Community School
Hwy 59 & Route 8066
HC 61 Box 5050
Chinle, AZ 86503

Here's an example of the type of jacket that is needed:

Also, attach a card with your name and address on it and Tinsel will send you a personalized autographed photo as a thank you.

Another morning of NOT shooting....

Very few things can get me out of bed in the morning. All of them are very important to me. I will wake early for food, prayer, to feed the animals, to start the fire, or to do photography. In the last two months, every time I have gotten out of bed in the morning to do a shoot, the model has cancelled. Anything before 11am in Hollywood is unacceptable by models standards, and scheduling such a shoot will result in excuses which range from a no call, no show, to food (alcohol) poisoning, to “I look fat today”.

My art is at the mercy of my subject. If I were to shoot locations I would still be dependant upon mother earth and the weather. I chose to work with humans because it is more challenging and in many ways more rewarding. A bi-polar career in my opinion, when it works, it is amazing, and when it doesn’t, I want to sell my equipment and join the military where EVERYONE has to be on time. That’s it, I decided I will only work with German models who are from Germany. Those guys know how to be on time, they even know how to make a good car. Discipline is what I am looking for. Haha

Several blogs I have tried to post here got erased. This is the first one I will post that might actually make it to your computer screen to be read. If you are someone who would one day like to work with me, all that I ask is you show a little respect for the creative process and show up on time if not early. You could help me set up, or work on ideas for different shots. Putting in the extra time and thought will actually help you get the right images, or better images then you would have gotten had you not.

My dreams are huge, and maybe that is why my goals are not aligning with the models I have been trying to work with. Maybe some of you don’t dream of being part of the first fashion shoot in space, or of standing in the freezing cold wind with your feet planted in a ice berg floating in the middle of the ocean while I try to snap the right shot of something I’ve never seen outside of my own brain. Maybe that isn’t for you, but someday, someone will come along with goals, and dreams as big as mine and help me make them possible. Until then I am limited by the equipment I have invested my every penny into, and the models that I rely on.

Someone stop by with some Macdonald’s breakfast and put a smile on my face, time to edit….
